It is popular because of the volcanic activities, the tourism, the pineapple, the beaches, the dance, the Aloha, the surfing, the Pearl Harbor and loads other things. Hawaii is 50 ^th state of America and it joined the US since August 21, 1959. This is one of the most popular facts about Hawaii and in this post; I am going to add other 10 interesting facts about the beautiful state on the following list.

1. Captain James Cook was the first European who landed on the island of Hawaii in 1778.Before his presence, Polynesian immigrant already inhabited Hawaii Island a 1 millennium earlier. Before Britain, A king name Kamehameha the Great held full authority over the Island since 1795. In the last 1800s, a full monarchy system was erased and a bicameral parliament hold full power over the island.

2. Before the end of 1800s, Hawaiian authorities initiated an economy based on the export of Sugar and pineapple production . Thus, the initiation attracted many workers, farmers and immigrants from Asia.

3. Hawaii is one of the biggest pineapples exporters in the world. This present day, Hawaii supplies more than 1/3 of the whole pineapples demand in the world

4. Hawaii Island is the origin site of Surfing . Since 18 ^th century, Hawaiian monarchies and chieftains invented and played the sport. Hawaiian inhabitants used to call surfing “He’e Nalu”. Although the sport is very popular, the Olympic association is not listed the sport on Olympic branch yet.

9. During Hawaiian monarchy, two queens had ruled the island. The first queen was Kaahumanu, ruled in 1823, and second one was Queen Liliuokalani, ruled in 1891. Queen Liliuokalani was the last ruler of Hawaiian and Hawaii Island. In 1893, British authority banished her autocracy after she tried to get more dominance over native Hawaiian islanders.

10. Tourism is an important economy for Hawaii. Beside beaches, Hawaii uses the attraction of their “live” mountains to attract tourists from around the world. Hawaiian has Hawaii Volcanoes national park, mountain Kohala, Mauna Kea, Hualalai, Mauna Loa, and Kilauea . The last three mountains flow hot lava every day and it magnetizes not only international tourists but also volcanologists.
